The least expected thing you’d think I’d talk about hmm?

I went to see the new movie today. I only have these few words to say:

I hate myself for loving every second of it.

Most definetly folks, this is THE greatest action movie of the year. Never in the entire 2 hours I sat in that theater was there a dull moment in the movie.

I admit, the conflict was confusing and they didn’t do a very good job explaining the time warp thing, but everything other than that was just made of pure awesome. The special Effects were spectacular, I now have a crush on Spok ( lol ) and I got to see entire planets explode! YAY!

The whole thing was directed by J.J.Abrams, my hero. Which is probably why this movie such a high praise from me. This man made my all-time favorite movie, Cloverfield( Cloverfield 2 is coming out in 2010!!!!!! ), made my dad’s new favorite movie Star Trek, and produced my brother’s favorite reality show “Fringe”

So Star Trek fans if you’re having a little trouble deciding whether to go see it or not, I say GO! GO NOW! Every Strek Trek fan will absolutely love this movie. The characters all stay true to the original Strek Trek and the movie goes deeper in Kirk’s and Spok’s past; A thing many fans were wondering about.

I’ll just never go see the movie again. I loved it, don’t get me wrong, but I hate Star Trek( But that’s the kind of grudge you get against it when you’re named after one of the characters )

A Darth Vader Parody of WRRYYYY!

Most otakus have heard of wrryy! When an over-excited fan leans his body back, his arms at his sides, hands clentched into half-fist. Suddenly, he bellows out a mighty roar….

WRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

But where did this strange move come from? And is WRRYYYY even a word?! Rena investigates….

Okay, so the backstory leads to a manga called “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures” The manga became a huge sucess, inspiring a street-fighter styled game to be release, under the same title. The game centers around characters named JoJo as they fight the piss out of people.

One of JoJo’s attack moves is what really started WRRRYYY! His move starts out by stopping his oponent with a series of…. well maybe it would be easier to describe it using the famous Mudah Flash which copys Jojo’s attack…(NOTE: The last series of Attacks is WRRYYY!)

This is the box art for the V2 Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku.

I always wanted to start my post with Vocaloids, since I’m absolutely obsessed with them right now. For those of you who don’t know what Vocaloids are ( you should ) Here’s a little history lesson for you:

Development: When a group of Japanese computer programmers got together, the result ended up being Vocaloids. Vocaloids is a voice-synthesising software, sponsored by Yamaha, in which user input lyrics and melodies to make the characters sing. In simpler terms, They’re “singing robots”.
Originally, Vocaloids were designed to be back-up singers for famous artists. But they became so popular, musicians and songwriters started creating original Vocaloid Songs. Shortly afterwards, Vocaloids were released to the public, originally sold at around 200 dollars.

The  Original Vocaloids: However, there are actually many different vocaloids, all with their own unique looks and sounds. The very first characters were Kaito and Meiko, from the first Vocaloid Series. Even though this was the first software of it’s kind, Vocaloids had hardly been heard of. Only until Yamaha produced Hatsune Miku did the program become popular.
Hatsune Miku became the first vocaloid in the second Vocaloid set, Vocaloid V2. Others followed her, including Kagamine Len and Rin.
Yamaha also created English Vocaloids like Leon, Lola, and Miriam. However, these were not so successful. 

The Fanmade Vocaloids: Vocaloids were a hit. Vocaloid shelves were wiped clean. And that’s what inspired many to create their own.
Using fan made software and art tools, artists and programmers made fan-made vocaloids. 2 of these characters, Akita Neru and Haku, became so popular that Cypton( the computer programmer’s company) adapted them into real Canon characters. Both were inspired by Hatsune Miku, as you can notice by their clothing, hair, and voices.
 There are still some more fan-made ones waiting to be adopted, but for now, they stay posted on the Internet.

I just absolutely love this program. Their voices don’t sound too robotic( sometimes ) and they are just uber cute! Can I hear a Moe!?
